Privacy Policy

Last updated 3 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data Harper collects, why, and what your rights are. Harper is operated by Iheb Kaabi, based in France, who is the data controller. For anything about your data, email iheb@harperai.app.

1. What we collect

  • Your account: your email address, name and profile picture from sign-in.
  • What you tell Harper: your company, role, audience, goals, topics, tone and posting rhythm; your check-in answers; facts you give for posts; and files you upload, such as photos, screenshots or your LinkedIn analytics export.
  • Your LinkedIn presence: your public LinkedIn profile and recent public posts, with their engagement numbers.
  • Your LinkedIn connection: when you connect LinkedIn, an access token, your LinkedIn member ID and your name, so Harper can publish for you.
  • What Harper creates: audits, benchmarks, calendars, drafts, carousels and other content.
  • Billing: your plan and subscription status. Payment details are collected by Dodo Payments; we never see your card number.
  • Technical data: logs needed to run and secure the Service, such as IP address, browser type and errors.

2. Creators you benchmark

When you choose creators to benchmark, Harper collects their public LinkedIn profile details and public posts to compare them with you. We use this public professional content only for that comparison. If you are one of these creators and don't want to be included, email iheb@harperai.app: we will delete your data and stop tracking you.

3. Why we use your data

  • To provide Harper: audits, benchmarks, plans, drafts and publishing (to perform our contract with you).
  • To bill you and keep the records the law requires (contract and legal obligation).
  • To send service emails such as post previews, weekly check-ins and billing notices (contract).
  • To keep Harper secure and prevent abuse (our legitimate interest).
  • To analyze the public posts of the creators you benchmark (our legitimate interest in giving you competitive insight).

We don't sell your data, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't use it to train AI models.

4. AI processing

For each task, Harper sends the content it needs (for example your posts and brand brief) to Anthropic's Claude models to produce analyses and drafts. Anthropic's commercial terms don't allow it to train its models on this content.

5. Who processes data for us

We use these providers, each only for its part of the Service:

  • Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage
  • Vercel: hosting
  • Anthropic: AI models (Claude)
  • Apify: collecting public LinkedIn profiles and posts
  • LinkedIn: publishing to your profile through its API
  • Dodo Payments: payments, as our merchant of record
  • Resend: sending emails

Some of these providers are based in the United States. Transfers outside the European Economic Area rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

6. How long we keep data

  • Account data is kept while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, such as billing records.
  • Data about a creator you benchmark is kept while you track them and deleted when you remove them or close your account.
  • Technical logs are kept for a few days, for security and debugging.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can access, correct, delete or export your data, restrict or object to its processing, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. Email iheb@harperai.app; we reply within one month. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr), the French data protection authority, or with the authority in your country.

8. Cookies

Harper only uses the cookies needed to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or analytics cookies, which is why you don't see a cookie banner.

9. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, each account can only access its own data, and LinkedIn access tokens are stored on our servers and never sent to your browser.

10. Children

Harper is not intended for anyone under 18.

11. Changes

We will post updates on this page and tell you by email or in the app about material changes.
